Canon EOS 888

By swwosh
Guess what my uncle showed me yesterday??? His old Canon EOS 888!!!! He got this camera when it first came out in Malaysia in 1995, that's 13 years ago!!!

*The box is still in good condition*

*How much for the EOS 888??? RM888!!! haha...*

*Tadaaa~ The Canon EOS 888*

*The EOS 888 is only sold in Asian countries, while the same camera with a different name, the EOS 5000QD is sold in other countries. They even put the "888" in red.*

*The standard pack comes with a 36-76mm normal zoom lens, with f4.5-5.6.*

*The EOS 888 uses standard 35mm film*

*This camera still impresses me with its range of ISO settings, varying from ISO as low as ISO15 to an ISO of 2000. Other functions such as potrait, landscape, macro and sports mode comes standard as well. The small display on the sides shows the aperture setting as well as battery life.*

*The body is very light compared to the DSLRs i've tried so far. The feel is very plastic though, which accounts for its weight.*

This camera has been sitting in my uncle's closet for quite sometime now cuz the battery on it has been dead for a while now, and apparently the battery is very costly. However, I've borrowed it from him to give it a shot, after i buy a few rolls of film and the battery for it. Many people would prefer to use digital cameras nowadays, but i say "why not go back to film cameras???" =D
